Hello and welcome! My name is Eric Schumacher and I write action-driven historical fiction for readers who love fast-paced stories. For over 25 years and across 8 Amazon bestselling novels, I’ve crafted two complete series — Hakon’s Saga and Olaf’s Saga — set in the smoky halls and blood-soaked battlefields of the Viking Age.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, hardly the epicenter of medieval history. Yet even from the earliest age, I can remember devouring books about castles and warrior kings and Tolkien’s Middle Earth. That fascination, coupled with a love of writing, led me to authors of page-turning fiction, such as Bernard Cornwell, Wilbur Smith and Robert Low. My first novel, God’s Hammer, was originally published in 2005, but re-published in 2017. Since then, I’ve released 7 more novels, one novella, and several short stories. And I’m just getting started!
